Molten Chocolate Overdose

Question to the audience, Who doesn't love chocolate
...
That's what I thought..

For a while now, I have been craving a soft, gooey and warm Molten Chocolate Cake. I checked out a couple of recipes online and found one that seemed simple, yet, obviously delicious. The recipe I tested out myself was a bit too sweet for me. I bought ramekins to bake the little cakes in but it came out to be too big for a dessert this sweet. A smaller portion would definitely work best. Unless you have a large sweet tooth, go for it

Ingredients:
- 2 sticks of butter
- 3 Tablespoons of flour
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup of granulated sugar
- 8 oz of bittersweet chocolate - Plus more for the filling.

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter 4-6 ramekins and set aside.

2. Over a double boiler, melt the butter and chocolate together. Combine and whisk everything until it is smooth.

3. Once the butter and chocolate is smooth, add in the sugar and mix.

4.  Here is where I could have been a bit more patient. Remove the chocolate mixture and set aside to cool off. The last step for the mixture to be complete is to add the eggs and flour. It is important that the mixture is not too hot or else the eggs might cook in them. Also, once it is cooler, the mixture won't get too clumpy.

5. Pour the batter into the ramekins, about 1/2 or 2/3 of the way.

6. With the extra chocolate set aside for the filling, add a few pieces into the center of each ramekin.

7. Bake the cakes for about 20 to 25 minutes. Once the cakes are done, they will look a bit jiggly in the center but that is what we are aiming for.

TIP:
Another helpful tip I did not follow, be PATIENT and wait until they cool off to eat.
You don't want to eat the cake too
hot!

Top off with some whipped cream, fruit preserves, ice cream or anything you can get creative with.
ENJOY!
