Hello Fellow Foodies!
This past week, MONTH actually, Election campaigns and ads have filled our minds with more than enough information. As important as it is to be informed about what is going on in our own country, i'm quite glad that this stage is over. I have decided to make a healthy dessert in honor to the end of this era. A perfectly, or not so perfectly, layered red, white and blue parfait to showcase just that! I know that being a full time college student and working at the same time can really impact our eating habits and sometimes not in a good way. This is a very simple, healthy and delicious parfait you can make for an afternoon snack or an evening dessert in less than a few minutes.
Ingredients:
Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt
Fat Free Strawberry Yogurt
Blueberries
Sliced Bananas
Walnuts (Or any other nut you prefer)
Note:
Your ingredient amounts vary depending on how many parfaits you will make. There is not right or wrong answer here! Oh and of course, you can customize your parfaits to your own liking by changing the flavors, fruits and maybe adding a little drizzle of honey on top!
Directions:
1. Layer Strawberry Yogurt onto the bottom of your cup.
2. Next, add a handful of blueberries.
3. Continue by adding another layer of yogurt, this time Vanilla.
4. Top off the yogurt with Sliced up bananas and some chopped up nuts and you are ready to go!
